Melanie Cometa: Reflecting on a Bright Future: Rehearsal Mirrors
These portable rehearsal mirrors would allow us to transform our spaces into choreography studios to support our marching band,
theater, and choir programs.Portable rehearsal mirrors will allow students to self-asses and adjust during lessons and rehearsals.
This will help them achieve their goals in dance, posture, expression, and other artistic work.
Kathleen Smith: Video & Podcast Equipment for Student Productions
This grant is to purchase equipment for students to be able to create podcasts and video projects. Currently, video projects are part
of Civics classes, English 9 & 10 classes, AP Psych and an option in other classes. Podcasting is currently a part of the
Black & Latinx Studies class. English and Civics teachers have indicated that they would like to use podcasts in their classes,
incorporating research, writing, and communication skills. Students have created podcasts as part of their capstone.
Jess Murray/Brendan Coan: Soundboard music station
This grant will provide equipment such as a Roland SPD-SX Percussion Sampling Pad, M-Audio Keystation Mini 32 MK3 - USB MIDI
Keyboard Controller with 32 Velocity Sensitive Mini Keys and Recording Software Included, Roland Premium Open-Air Headphones (RH-A30),
and Drum sticks 5A Classic Maple Wood Drumsticks Wood Tip Drumstick for Adults, Kids, and Beginners. This project will be utilized as
a self-regulation/self-management coping strategy in a special education social/emotional program. It will allow students in the program to use
their skills or learn new skills to help them reengage with academics.

Ryan Earley: Lego Robotics at LMS
The middle school would like to begin the foundational component of Lego/ Robotics with an after school activity that will participate
in the FIRST Lego program. This will allow co-curricular programming for a specific population of students and create a feeder program
for the successful LHS Cyber Colonels. The objectives of this new program is to engage students in programming, coding, teamwork, and
supporting skills to actively compete and success in Lego FIRST programs.
Ryan Earley/Tiffany MacCall: Foundations to Family Consumer Science - Fabric for projects
Students will learn the foundations of sewing by creating blankets which would be donated to local elderly or animal shelters.

Amy Armstrong, Barbara Comstock King, and Mark Westkott: WPAW Newsroom (GFSJWL Media Studio)
This grant supports the purchase of a Padcaster Studio for Tablets, Sound Proofing Pads, and Green Screen Paint. The equipment will be part of a recording studio for students, staff, and the school using technology and resources that students can expect
in settings beyond the school. WPAW Newsroom, is a Media Studio withing GFS/JWL that allows students access to digital recording and
production equipment. One initial use of the recording studio will be for student lead morning announcements, both recorded and
eventually live streamed. WINN groups will be able to utilize the recording studio for extensions of lessons for opportunities like
student-led interviews, podcasts and news reports.

JWL Playground We-Go-Round
This grant will help the Juliet W. Long community to provide a new age-appropriate space and play structure with features that are
accessible and engaging for all during the school year and beyond. To make the playspace accessible and inclusive to all, adding a
We-Go-Round feature allows all individuals, including those with physical exceptionalities, to access the space and participate with peers.
“This patent-pending merry-go-round offers ample room for kids and families to interact and play together – including those in
wheelchairs.” - Landscape Structures
